The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites applications for Program Projects for Nursing Science Research on Interventions in Chronic Illness (P01). The purpose of the proposed grant program is to significantly advance the science through an interdisciplinary, biobehavioral research program focused on interventions to improve the quality of life and/or promote health/prevent disease in persons with chronic illnesses and their informal caregivers.

MAYDAY PAIN & SOCIETY FELLOWSHIP
The application season for the 2007 Mayday Pain & Society Fellowship; A Media & Policy Fellows Initiative has just been extended to July 1, 2007, so there’s still time to apply. The fellowship trains leaders to become proficient at working with the media and policymakers on important issues in pain treatment and management. The program starts with a four-day communications and policy training in Washington, D.C., from October 22-25, 2007.
